For all lovers of the end of the world cinema, it comes The Road (El Camino), a film directed by John hillcoat which is presented as one of the great attractions for the middle of the year.

Based on a small novel by Cormac McCarthy (the same as No Country For Old Men, taken to the cinema by the brothers Cohen) The Road count the odyssey of a father and his son, after a series of natural catastrophes that leaves the human species on the brink of extinction. The little boy and his father will be forced to go out into the street to subsist, following a path, and under all kinds of dangers, since groups of humans have become cannibals.

The adaptation of the literary work was carried out by Joe Penhall, in collaboration with Cormac McCarthy himself. In the cast are Viggo Mortensen as the boy's father and also veteran Robert Duvall, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
