Pete Townshend: "the future of the group is uncertain"

The Who - Pete Townshend

And since we talked about The Who, their guitarist recently revealed that he doesn't know what will happen to the band now that his hearing problems have returned: in an interview for a major music magazine, Pete Townshend explained that if they continue The Who it just doesn't go anymore ...

"If my hearing is going to be a problem, we will not start to delay our presentations, the Who is simply over ... the truth is that I cannot conceive of another solution for this problem".

Despite this delicate situation, Pete announced that he will be testing a new internal monitoring system in the ear during the group's presentation at the Teenage cancer trust at the end of March, to try to overcome this inconvenience.

The painful noises and hums that townshend faces, are the result of years of exposure to excessively high volumes.
