Nada Surf return in January

Nada Surf

The return of Nada Surf is just around the corner, we remember that his last studio album was "Lucky " (2008) and later came “If I Had A Hi-Fi"(2010) where they made a review of classics that ranged from" Enjoy The Silence "by Depeche Mode until the "Evolution" of our Mercuromine.

The group has needed three years to publish this new album because as it justifies Mathew Caws (voice) I wanted to get a great album recorded. For this occasion they are accompanied by Doug gillard (guitarist of Guided by Voices) which has already been accompanying them on their tour of this year in our country. According daniel lorca, bassist of the group: “We were already big fans of Guided by Voices, we had gone to see them and we had also met them at a concert. One day we told him to come to the rehearsal room to play some songs with us and he accepted. We asked him if he knew any of our songs and Doug said yes, he did know some of them. What would be our surprise that when he arrived at the place, he not only knew a few songs, he knew all, all our songs. So for the recording of the album we told him that we loved him as well as for the tours. Whether he stays or not depends on him, but at the moment he is a Nada Surf. "

"The Stars Are Indifferent To Astronomy" has been recorded in New York on the orders of his friend Crish shaw (producer of Wilco, among others), and whom we could see, accompanying them on the trumpet and keyboards, on the last tour that the band did in our country. The work will be published in Spain by Ernie RecordsThe next January 23. His new songs were already presented a few weeks ago exclusively on the program 180 degrees de radio 3 and judging by what has been heard, the new album is presented as one of his most solid works, in the words of Mathew "It is a synthesis of the best of Nada Surf."
