Gwen Stefani has revealed that the sound of their next album will be greatly influenced by the music of the 80's, particularly by those of those groups that had a fleeting passage through the aforementioned decade, and that are only remembered by some 'one hit wonder...
"The past few weeks we've been listening to the worst of the '80s, in a good sense of the word… pop songs, one-hit wonders, wacky beats, that sort of thing. It's like going back in time, rediscovering what you like and trying to do something similar ... guessing how they did it".
Still without a defined title, the album is expected to come out at the end of this year, an obvious delay since the return of No Doubt in 2008, due to the second pregnancy of its leader.
"They were creating new material, but now it's like starting everything from scratch. I don't know how much it will cost us to get to the sound we want, but we're having a great time trying".
