News on the adaptation of Tintin

tintin et milu

As we already anticipated in this precise space, Tintin, the young and daring reporter created by the Belgian Hergé, will also have its adaptation for the big screen, from the hand of two monsters like Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson.

These days Spielberg plans to film the first shots, using capture motion techniques, something that will require more than a month of work. At the end of this stage, what is produced will pass into the hands of Jackson, who will work on editing the special effects for the next 18 months.

Despite the clear enthusiasm aroused by this transposition to the cinema, it remains to be seen how the American public receives the adventures of Tintin, Ya que Hergé's work has not easily penetrated North America and is far from being a popular comic strip.

The company responsible for the special effects will be none other than Weta, owned by the film's producer, Peter Jackson. El Spielberg spokesman Marvin Levy, assured that all the technology that will be made available "Can't even be described", and the producer Kathleen Kennedy, also involved, made clear the enormous expectations that are presented in this Spielberg-Jackson collaboration: "They are both incredible collaborators, even better than Steven and George Lucas".

From here we look forward to the premiere of Tintin, and we wish all the possible success, success that will make possible a second and third part of the adventures of Tintin.
