Françoise Cactus and Brezel Göring, that is to say STEREO TOTAL, returned in 2007 with a new album (the fantastic "Paris-Berlin"), which represents a return to the lo-fi sound of its beginnings. The best group in the world according to MOMUS and "..the best pop group in the world" according to The Guardian, showed with that album that their formula is still more in shape than ever. Rude, romantic, vulgar, cute and cheeky as always, they presented us with 14 pills to fight boredom and apathy. One of them, «Plastic», his particular protest song, is the one that Françoise has chosen and Brezel to open their first single for the Spanish label Elefant, this time in a fun Spanish version. As all their followers know, the French-German duo has always been known for flirting with other languages on their albums. They have tried it with Japanese, Turkish, Italian, English and also Spanish. But it is the first time that they have published an album entirely in our language and, furthermore, with the particularity that the remaining songs are versions of classics from the Elefant catalog chosen by themselves.

In the first place, we find one of the great songs of LA CASA AZUL, «C'est fini» (which we can find on their album «As simple as love») in a wonderful performance that tends towards rock, bouncy and stark to the time. Next, they surprise us again by choosing the first great song that LE MANS gave us, "Un ray de sol", included in their homonymous album. The version is so respectful that it hardly differs from the original, just a few flirty electronic sounds of the house and the absence of sax sampling. And finally, "Arte" by NOSOTRÄSH, which opened "Popemas", in a dub performance that at times seems like a remix by Ibon Errazquin in love with reggae and Jamaican sounds.

Ah, to add that, if even with these secluded songs they don't have enough, the vinyl is passion red. Said it remains.
