Passion Pit has released new details of the continuation of his excellent Manners (2009). its new CD It will be called 'Gossamer' and will be produced by Chris Zane. It will be made up of 12 songs and will be released on July 24 through Columbia Records.
An album that in a way Michael Angelakos himself has defined as more personal: “I had a very hard year: I got engaged just before I started recording and that wears out a lot. I've humbled myself on this album, I had to. He had many problems like so many people in the world ”, he stressed.
He then pointed out that Passion Pit would be for him that spoon of sugar that composer Robert Sherman used in 'Mary Poppins' to better swallow medicine. In the collaborations section of the LP, the names of Nico Muhley and the Swedish trio Erato, popular on the net thanks to their “home made” version of Robyn's 'Call Your Girlfriend'.
Likewise, the group announced the dates of some shows that it will give in May, June, July and August, mostly at festivals (such as Lollapalooza), although he is expected to add more concerts to his tour. For now it is known that they will play in North America, England, Japan and Singapore.
