41 bands and 3 stages, those are this year's numbers from the Azkena Rock Festival. Next to My Morning Jacket, Blue Öyster Cult and Dropkick Murphys, complete the list Pentagram, North Mississippi Allstars, Ben Kweller, Frank Turner, Sallie Ford & The Sound Outside, Lüger, Israel Nash Gripka, Danko Jones, Graveyard and Lions In The Street. That is to say, old acquaintances and some of the latest discoveries around rock and roll, as always, at the Vitoriano festival.
All these bands are in addition to those previously announced Black Sabbath and Lynyrd Skynyrd, who will give their only concerts in Spain at the ARF in 2012.
Apart from these classics, My Morning Jacket are configured as one of the greatest attractions of the festival, they will present their last and magnificent album «Circuit» (2011), in which the band has returned to its origins after some more experimental and irregular works, everything is said.
The organization has also highlighted that this year the third stage inaugurated in 2011 on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the festival will be maintained and that it will become more important. In this way, and as we said at the beginning, a total of 41 artists spread over three stages, will form the final poster for the 11th edition of the ARF. To these will also be added the free concerts in the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca in Vitoria-Gasteiz, as in recent years, although we still do not know the names of the artists who will animate the midday of the center of the Alava capital.
All this will happen from June 14 to 16, as always in the Mendizabala compound. The price of the voucher for the three days is € 102 + expenses.
