Muse renewed the classic "New Kind Of Kick" for Halloween

New Kind of Kick Muse

The members of the British group Muse decided to surprise their followers with the surprise premiere of a version of the song 'New Kind Of Kick' from The Cramps from 1981 to celebrate Halloween.

The news began last week when Muse began to keep his followers on social networks alert, publishing a series of messages that were giving clues about the intentions of the British. The initiative was called 'Muse Halloween Special' and the surprise promotion began last Wednesday with an enigmatic first message. Later some images and teasers of brief seconds of video were added.

After a couple of days I finally followers of the hashtag #MuseHalloweenSpecial received their reward with the premiere of the version of 'New Kind of Kick', which was accompanied by an unusual video where you can see its leader Matt Bellamy and his companions in black leather suits, in the best rockabilly style, interpreting the classic of The Cramps but with a dark style with light touches of terror to celebrate the spooky occasion of halloween in a witty way.

'New Kind of Kick' was recorded at Air studios in London with the collaboration of producer Tommaso Colliva and the assistance of Tom Bailey, while the special video of the subject was directed by the British Tom Kirk. The witty video also has the participation of the legendary character of Elvira, who although not played by the original actress Cassandra Peterson, gives the point to amuse her followers.

This track was originally on The Cramps' album 'Psychedelic Jungle' (1981), one of the songs that led the Californian group The Cramps to notoriety, one of the pioneers of psychobilly, a style that combined rockabilly and garage rock of the 60s with the then popular punk rock of the late seventies.
