"Death Magnetic, at least the title is for me ... it has a lot to do with ... it started as a kind of tribute to people who are no longer with us in this business, like Layne Staley and several others who have already left us ... something to the martyrs of rock and roll ... and from that idea, it began to become something different. Thinking of death ... some are drawn towards it, as if it were a magnet ... others are very afraid of it and move away as far as they can.
