The next day 6 June Barcelona, in the Jewish Film Festival, will host the premiere in our country of the film Mein Führer, the truth about Adolf Hitler. As the title makes us suspect, it is a quite controversial film and is directed by Dani levy.
The controversy lies in the fact that the dictator is ridiculed notably, places us on the stage of 1944, and Goebbels, despite having everything lost, does not give up and in a sigh of hope asks Hitler for a New Year's speech with the aim of encouraging to the crowd, but Hitler, who was ill and depressed, wanted any kind of contact with the public the least. Goebbels therefore decides to ask his acting teacher for help.
The film at its premiere in Germany was an authentic commercial failure, however its director, who will be a guest at the Festival, as those responsible for the festival have said when deciding to include it in the program «shows that you can make humor with someone as difficult as Hitler and the consequences of his regime«.
