Martin Scorsese will finally be able to shoot the film adaptation of the novel by Shūsaku Endo Silence.
For many years now, this Scorsese project has been talked about without being able to specify the date it would carry it out, now thanks to an agreement with Emmet / Furla Films will be able to carry out the movie.
The film will finally be shot in 2014, after several problems with the project since in August of last year Vittorio Cecchi Gori, producer of this project for more than two decades sued the director for breach of contract and intentional misrepresentation, for not having shot this film yet, since the last agreement they had reached was to shoot the film after finishing "Hugo's Invention."
Vittori Cecchi Gori had already had several agreements with Martin Scorsese that have been modified until I finally sue the filmmaker after more than two decades of waiting. Now Scorsese will carry out the film with another production company and Cecchi Gori will end up seeing the film made, even if he does not participate in it.
