Mark Knopfler releases his new album Tracker in March

Three years after the release of his last album, Privateering (2012), Mark Knopfler He will continue his solo career with the launch of his new production, which will be called Tracker. In the press release for the new job, Knopfler noted: «The title chosen for the album 'Tracker' arises from my personal effort throughout these decades to find my way. From my recapitulation of the time lived and brought to my compositions, my experience meeting people, visiting places and remembering things from my past ».

Universal Music confirmed a few days ago that Knopfler's new work will go on sale on March 17 and an album that will contain 11 unreleased songs by the well-known Scottish musician, which have been produced by Knopfler himself together with his usual collaborator, British producer Guy Fletcher and recorded at the British Grove Studios in London. The group formed for this production includes Mark Knopfler on guitar, Guy Fletcher on keyboards, John McCusker on violin, Mike McGoldrick on flute, Glenn Worf on bass and Ian Thomas on drums, and among the invited musicians Ruth has collaborated. Moody (from The Wailin 'Jennys) on vocals, Nigel Hitchcock on sax and Phil Cunningham on accordion.

'Tracker' It will be available in different formats, standard CD, Double vinyl, Deluxe double CD with 4 bonus tracks and a special box containing the album in CD and vinyl format, a bonus CD with 6 bonus tracks, also a special DVD with an exclusive directed short by Henrik Hansen and an interview with Mark about the disc as well as 6 photographs and a numbered art print.
