Maná: next album «positive and hopeful»

Mexicans return Manna: the band is currently in Miami working on their next record production, which they revealed will have a "positive, hopeful" and, above all, "moved" tone.

"It will be danceable so that women move the 'boat' (hips), and have rock and roll and enthusiasm," said the band's vocalist, Fernando Olvera, better known as Fher.

The leader of the group -who has sold nearly 35 million copies of his albums and he has won four Grammy Awards and seven Latin Grammy Awards - he added that his next album will also feature the "melancholic" ballads that have characterized them.

«Maná always throws all the meat on the grill, always. You know that we are not a band that put out one album per year. We are a bit slow, but we prefer it that way.

It is good to remember that the last album of original songs that the group published was 'Drama y Luz' (2011), of which they finished the concert tour last March, although in 2012 they published the compilation “Exiliados en la Bahia”.

Although he had fond memories of that tour, they were concerned about the environmental impact that his concerts generated and seek to appease the damage generated. Fher explained that, through their Selva Negra foundation, they will return "a little" of what was contaminated with their last tour.

Thus, he explained that an "incredible" study was sent to the University of Guadalajara (Mexico) where it was calculated that as a result of his "Drama y Luz" tour, 9.000 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) were emitted.
In order to "erase this footprint," the Selva Negra Foundation will plant half a million trees over the next ten years.
