Malcom McLaren and the influence of punk

Malcolm McLaren continues to comment: the creator and former manager of the The Sex Pistols has said in Spain that «punk destroyed more than it created, but because that was his philosophy«.

Causes? «Society had to abandon a passive attitude and take action«. For this reason, McLaren understands that the essence of punk "is still valid in today's culture", although it took 30 years to understand that his contribution is as important "as cubism or surrealism."

McLaren's word is important because he conceived punk as a mass business and not a countercultural movement, even if he says otherwise. As a good mercenary but a vital protagonist, he has earned his place in history.
