On the night of Monday (7), prior to the day of the presidential elections in the USA, Madonna surprised New Yorkers by offering a surprise concert in support of the candidacy of Hillary Clinton, adding to the large number of artists who have publicly shown their support for the Democratic candidate.
In a central square in Manhattan (New York), the American singer performed six songs before a surprised and happy crowd that was able to enjoy a mini-concert by the queen of pop. "See you in Washington Square Park at 7:30. Let's hit it hard for Hillary Clinton!" was the message that the popular singer wrote on her Twitter account.
About 300 people attended the event and were able to enjoy a concert lasting around 30 minutes. during which Madonna performed, guitar on her shoulder, acoustic versions of greatest hits such as 'Like a Prayer', 'Express Yourself' or 'Don't Tell Me'. Surrounded by a group of New York University (NYU) students, Madonna also sang classics such as 'Imagine' by John Lennon and 'If I had a hammer' by Peter, Paul and Mary.

At the closing of the campaign last Monday (31), a great act in Philadelphia featured special performances by Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi, which was also joined by Lady Gaga in another act held in Raleigh.
