In May of this year it will be held en the Spanish city of Seville the XII International Festival of Music of the Territories Peoples, a show that lasts 3 days and in which very dissimilar artists will perform.
From the organization it has been announced that the complete (and closed) lineup includes the performances of the North Americans Wilco, the Serbian Emir Kusturica & The No Smoking Orchestra, the Jerez-born Tomasito and the local rapper Tote King.
The event will take place at the Andalusian Center of Contemporary Art of the Cartuja Monastery on May 28, 29 and 30, and voices are heard from various sides that assure that this year will be "One of the best editions in its history", highlighted by the national and international presence, of independent rock, hip-hop, avant-garde electronics and world music.
The first day of the festival, Thursday, May 28, the Sevillian public will enjoy Emir Kusturica & The No Smoking Orchestra, Alpha Blondy, Ojos de Brujo, the Portuguese Buraka Som Sistema, Diplo, Boy 8-Bit; The Gecko Turner 5 and Tomasito.
The second date, On May 29 it will be the turn of the alternative Wilco, Akron / Family, Lori Meyers, Dogo, Los Mercenarios, and the Madrid rockers The Right Ons.
The festival will end May 30, in what promises to be «The night of hip-hop»: The Sevilla All Stars, Tote King, and the new yorkers De La Soul, accompanied by the Rhythm Roots Allstars. And that night there will also be a place for DJs Mixmaster Mike, DJ Muggs; Scratch Perverts, Goldfinger Crew and DJ Zas. The English will close the fest The Go! Team.
