After the success of the remake of Friday the 13th, the studies New Line Cinema is speeding up the procedures to start as soon as possible the modern version of another North American horror classic: A Nightmare on Elm Street.
The original 1984 film, which featured the once-iconic horror movie, Freddy Krueger, it was carried out by a very young Johnny Depp. In the remake, Depp's place will be occupied by the actor Kyle Gallener, that adds up in this way Jackie Earle Haley, who will be the one to put on the glove of the nightmarish Freddy.
Reportedly Gallner will play Quentin, an indie teen who hosts a late-night radio show who will be bullied by Krueger.
The film will be directed by Samuel Bayer and will be executive produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller. The script will be in charge of Wesley Strick. Still the filming start date is unknown, although everything indicates that it will be this year.
