The keys to the teaser trailer for the sixth season of 'Game of Thrones'

Game of Thrones season 6 trailer

Recently, the first teaser trailer for the sixth season of 'Game of Thrones' as announced by HBO a few days ago. Although, nobody expected it to be as it is, although it is undeniable that it is curious for all of us who consider ourselves staunch fans of the adventures of Poniente, Essos and beyond the Wall.

In the new teaser we do not see real images of any of the new chapters or characters in motion, but it does give us a somewhat spooky perspective of what the new season of the series based on the novels by George RR Martin could become, Song of Fire and Ice. Let's analyze it...

The content shows us a single scenario: the House of Black and White of Braavos, where Arya Stark spent practically the entire fifth season training with the God of Many Faces to become nobody. What we see in this room are the familiar faces of beloved (and not so beloved) characters exposed like a select collection of corpses.

The faces correspond to characters who starred in mythical moments of the first 5 seasons and who died. If you have not seen the series and you intend to do so, I invite you to stop reading this post so that seeing it still makes sense to you.

The characters who lost their lives and appear in the foreground They are: Ned Stark, Robb Stark, Catelyn Tully, Joffrey Baratheon and Jon Snow. Their faces are accompanied by voice-overs of some of the most mythical quotes of the characters intoned during their evolution in the history of their hectic lives:

Ned Stark: "The man who passes the sentence must swing the sword". It corresponds to a crucial moment of the first season, when the protagonist shows his son Bran in Winterfell what are the consequences of defecting from the Night's Watch. Ned passes the sentence and beheads the deserter himself, giving the little boy a moral lesson.

Robb Stark: "I have won every battle, but I am losing this war". Robb was able to win each and every battle against the Lannisters until one of the most unexpected plot twists in House Frey cut short the fate of several characters, including his own. We will never forget the tragic and fatal outcome of the Red Wedding, to the gloomy sound of "The Rains of Castamere."

Catelyn Tully: "Teach them what it feels like to lose what you love". Catelyn was another of the victims of the Red Wedding, along with her son Robb. This phrase corresponds to one of the chapters of "Rains of Castemere" and refers to the pain felt by the Stark family due to the unjust murder of Ned Stark, the father of the northern family.

Catelyn Tully

Joffrey Baratheon: «I can torment whoever I want«. It was more than demonstrated that the character played by Jack Gleeson tormented by piece due to his despicable condition as King and Protector of the Seven Kingdoms: Sansa Stark was perhaps the most damaged, although not the only one.

Jon Snow: "The Long Night draws near, and the dead will come with it.". The quintessential surprise of the fifth season was the death of Jon Snow. His face also appears now, along with a phrase that apologizes for the arrival of the White Walkers. What will we see of them in the new one? Ygritte and Stannis Baratheon are the faces that appear next to his, which leads me to think that Jon really is (and will be) dead, and that his resurrection may not come to pass. In any case, although his figure in the sixth season is quite a hypothesis, of one thing I am sure: Jon Snow is going to appear in some way, he will talk about his destiny and his roots, alive or dead.

The last shot is the one that leaves me the most breathless. After the most important dead characters in the series appear, the faces of other protagonists who are still alive appear. Will they be the next to die? In this case Tyrion Lannister, Sansa Stark, Daenerys Targaryien, Cersei Lannister and Arya would say goodbye, which at first glance, is inconceivable ... although coming from a series like this: Everything is possible!

In Westeros no one is safe. Although to reveal these hypotheses we will have to wait for the on April 24, 2016, date in which it is released.
