Definitive trailer of 'Julieta' by Pedro Almodóvar

Pedro Almodovar Juliet

A few ago days we saw the first teaser trailer and a poster for 'Juliet', the new film by Pedro Almodóvar. This film, which was originally going to be called 'Silence', constitutes the expected -for many- return of the Spanish filmmaker after 'The Passenger Lovers'. Vivid colors, Chavela Vargas as a musical backdrop, Rossy de Palma as a performer, narrow streets of Madrid, secrets and hidden truths, letters, sunglasses, melancholic glances full of forebodings framed in close-ups, or everyday dialogues ...

These are just some of the most characteristic and picturesque points of the essence that characterizes Pedro Almodovar's cinematography, points that are going to come together now in this feature film of which we already have the first trailer.

The story narrates the 30 years of life of its protagonist, Julieta (first played by Adriana Ugarte and then Emma Suárez) from 1985 to 2015, years during which suffered the abandonment or absence of people who were very important in your life. In the words of the director himself "It is about a return to the cinema of women, of great female protagonists, and a drama that hits very hard". But he will also talk about “The inevitable destiny, about the guilt complex and about that unfathomable mystery that makes us abandon the people we love, erasing them from our lives as if they had never meant anything. And about the pain that this abandonment causes in the victim "

At distributionApart from the two protagonists, we find Inma Cuesta, Rossy de Palma, Nathalie Poza, Pilar Castro, Darío Grandinetti, Susi Sánchez, Daniel Grao, Joaquín Notario and Blanca Parés are some of the names that complete the cast.
