Jordi Sánchez (OBK) will be the husband of Mónica Naranjo in the rock opera «Lubna»

OBK Lubna Monica Naranjo

After the premiere of the first single from 'Lubna' on December 4, 'Jamás', the expectations for this rock opera that will be Mónica Naranjo's new album, to be released on January 29, are much more than high. With 'Never' discovered, the only thing that could be known about 'Lubna' was little less than nothing, the track number 15 of the disc with which more than one, apart from crying like a Magdalena, little else could know.

But with the release of the album just around the corner, it was time to start discovering new secrets, especially about that story of which the only thing we know is the death of the protagonist's son. It is precisely there where Mónica Naranjo has begun to advance secrets of the plot, and is that every child comes from a father and a mother and, until today, we only knew the mother.

Jordi Sánchez, visible face of OBK, will play the father of Mónica Naranjo's son in 'Lubna', "A dark character, drowned in the past". Jordi has had to work hard in this collaboration, especially with regard to the lyrical and theatrical aspects that a work like 'Lubna' needs. From the record company they commented on this collaboration: «It has been difficult to adapt that very personal style that Jordi Sánchez has singing to what his role in 'Lubna' needed and that he still maintained his own personality, but we have succeeded. Jordi is not Pavarotti and that ends up being an advantage, especially when it comes to playing with his more theatrical side. If Gerald Butler could be 'The Phantom of the Opera', Jordi Sánchez could be Mónica's husband in 'Lubna' without a doubt".

Although without any confirmation yet, it is expected that in the next few days a small preview of this collaboration will be known, which we await with all the curiosity in the world. Happy April Fools Day.
