Throughout an extensive career spanning nearly five decades, the legendary Joni Mitchell has composed a large number of love songs. The Canadian singer-songwriter has been faced with the ambitious challenge of condensing her seventeen albums into a single album with her best love and heartbreak songs.
After a year and a half in this project, Mitchell finished his task with the new compilation 'Love Has Many Faces: A Quartet, A Ballet, Waiting To Be Danced', a collection of four CDs that take a tour of his entire recording career focusing on his most memorable romantic themes.
Mitchell herself has carefully selected the 53 songs contained in this special collection and has also overseen the remastering process of all included tracks. The boxset also includes a hardcover book with a text by the Canadian singer-songwriter herself, explaining the composition process, the reproduction of six of her paintings and 53 accompanying poems to the songs. The compilation boxset will be released by the US label Rhino Records and will go on sale on November 17.
