The actor Javier Bardem will return to star in a Spanish film eight years after "Sea Inside" the last film of this nationality that he shot.
Is "Alacrán enamorado", adaptation of the novel by his brother Carlos Bardem that the director Santiago Zannou, one of the most promising filmmakers of recent years in Spain, has decided to bring to the big screen.
After his tour of American lands, where he has not only shot American productions, he has been under the orders of directors such as Milos Forman, Alejandro González Iñarritu or Woody Allen.
In his time in Hollywood, he has won numerous awards such as the Oscar, the Golden Globe or the Bafta for best supporting actor with the Coen brothers' production "No Country for Old Men".
In these eight years he has not shot Spanish productions but that does not mean that he has stopped filming within the borders of this country. Javier Bardem filmed in Barcelona both in Woody Allen's American production "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" and in Alejandro Gónzalez Iñarritu's Mexican "Biutiful".
Now a national production is being rolled again in Spain by the hand of Santiago Zannou, winner of the Goya for best new director in 2008 for his film "El truco del maco", which won the three awards for which it was nominated in that edition of the Spanish Film Academy Awards.
In "Alacrán enamorado", Javier Bardem will share the cast with Aléx González, Miguel Ángel Silvestre, Judith Diakhate and his brother Carlos Bardem, author of the novel on which the film is based, among other interpreters.
