Jauria: the Argentine punk supergroup is born

About two years ago, when Ciro Pertusi, singer of Attack77 From almost its beginnings, he announced his retirement from the reference band of Argentine punk, many imagined that the solo career was in the making. However, the predictions of much of the press were quickly discarded, since It didn't take long for Pertusi to find allies for a new project.

For those months, Raymond Fajardo, drummer of the alternative band that marked a good part of the 90s in Argentina, The other me, He also left the ranks of the band led by the Aldana brothers, in search of new musical directions.

The friendship between Attaque and El otro yo had already paid off on that tour in the mid-90s, when the former invited those from Temperley on a tour across the country. When looking for members for this new project, Pertusi did not hesitate to summon Fajardo, an invitation that Ray could not refuse.

A few months later, The band was completed by Pichu Serniotti, ex-guitarist of Cabezones, and an old acquaintance of Pertusi: Mauro Ambesi, who was bassist of Romanticistas Shaolin's., the project of Federico Pertusi, Ciro's brother.

With the front already armed, it only remained to define the name, which was not long in coming. PackIn the words of Pertusi, it came by decantation, referring to the act of coming together and relating as a whole. Very quickly, they got to work alongside Jim Wirt, celebrated producer who collaborated with Live, Incubus, and the same Attaque 77, and that brought to the fore the rabid bragging of the guitars. Before long, the self-titled album with 16 songs finished recording and only the final touches remained.

The album was released in the last days of 2010, with Bye Bye (a whole declaration of principles) as the first dissemination cut with which Jauría made itself known officially. With lyrics that follow the most rebellious punk tonic and they do not disappoint the most adept at the genre, Pack It seems to follow the path of the most thoughtful and questioning punk-rock, the one that the Clash proposed since its inception, with a tight and precise sound that shows the veterancy of its members.
