EThe title of the project refers to the artistic name of the protagonist of the film: an illusionist who is having a bad professional moment, but thanks to the incorporation of a young man as an assistant who wants to dedicate himself to the world of magic, he will find a way to regain motivation lost.
John Malkovich will be the conjurer, Colin Hanks his new assistant and Tom Hanks the father of the young man, in complete disapproval of his actions. This plot reminds me of A History from the Bronx but changing the magician's trade for the mobster occupation. If the plot is the same, it would seem like a monumental joke but we will have to wait. It must be said that Hanks himself, through his Playtone company, produces the tape. The director of the film will be directed by the almost newcomer Sean McGinly, also the author of the script, who will direct his first major film in Los Angeles.
Colin Hanks, born in 1977, is the son of Tom and Samantha Lewes, Hanks' first wife whom he divorced in 1987, and after his film debut in the film Orange County and his appearance in series such as Roswell, he gave himself to know in a majority way after his appearance in the version of King Kong by Peter Jackson.
