Last year, Bad Religion, one of the most important bands in current North American punk, celebrated its 30th anniversary in the world of music, a stretch that was always accompanied by critical lucidity, dogmatic questioning and excellent melodies.
As a tribute, and as a culmination of the anniversary celebrations, 12 groups dared to record their own version of different creations from the band of Graffin, Baker, Gurewitz, Hetson, Wackerman and Bentley. The result was embodied in Germs of perfection, an album that can be heard in full, via MySpace.
Among the covers, the one of cobra skulls (with NOFX's Fat Mike as a guest) doing Give You Notihing; Tegan and Sara, which Suffer reinterprets; and Polar bear club, which does its thing with Better Off Dead.
