Sir George Martin, better known for his work as arranger, composer y producer of all original recordings of The Beatles, has been recognized this week with a Honorary Grammy in a ceremony that took place in the city of Los Angeles.
Visibly excited Martin said when receiving this award: "Paul and Ringo couldn't come today, because they are on their respective tours. They are workaholics… I can't quite understand why, but they are.
I miss a lot of people ... a lot of people who have left before me. God knows I'm old enough ... but just like you, I miss younger people who are no longer with us. They were wonderful ... especially John and George".
This long-awaited award had its climax when Tom Jones, Burt Bacharach y Jeff Beck Among others, they offered a concert interpreting some of the most popular songs of the career of Sir george.
Yoko Ono y Olivia, widows of John Lennon Y George Harrison respectively, were present.
