Gemma Arterton could be the protagonist of "Alien"

Yesterday we talked about the prequel to "Alien", and apparently, the news is still rolling: it will be directed again by Ridley Scott (Gladiator) and names of possible actresses are already being considered for the leading role.

One is Gemma Arterton (Quantum of Solace), who revealed to the Sunday Times newspaper that the filmmaker asked him for a meeting after seeing his performance in the thriller "Disappearance of Alice Creed."

The new Alien is set in 2085, some 30 years before Sigourney Weaver's Ripley (1979) and will explore the origins of deadly aliens.
