Florence and The Machine Releases "Songs From Final Fantasy XV"

Songs from Final Fantasy XV Florence

Since last Friday (12) it is available on the streaming platforms 'Songs From Final Fantasy XV', a special EP recorded by Florence and The Machine that contributes to the soundtrack of the long-awaited Square Enix video game 'Final Fantasy XV', which will finally hit stores next November.

The EP 'Songs From Final Fantasy XV' contains two previously unreleased songs by Florence And The Machine ('Too Much Is Never Enough' and 'I Will Be') and the cover of the 1960 Ben E. King classic 'Stand By Me', which was released earlier this year as a single. The songs were recorded at London's Air Studios by producer and songwriter Emile Haynie, previously known for his collaborations with figures such as Kanye West ('Runaway') and Lana Del Rey ('Born To Die').

The unreleased track 'Too Much Is Never Enough' is perfectly conjugated as a cinematic epic of the images promised by the new FFXV, a melody of powerful string arrangements that serve as the basis for highlighting the emotional voice of Florence Welch. This song was featured globally last week on Nick Grimshaw's Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 1 (UK) during the New Music Friday section. This track is followed by the evocative ballad 'I Will Be' and the new version of 'Stand By Me', presented for the first time last March in the special event 'UNCOVERED: FINAL FANTASY XV', a track that puts a melancholic twist on the Ben E. King classic.

From her Twitter account, Florence Welch (@flo_tweet) commented on her new collaboration on the FFXV soundtrack: “I have always considered FINAL FANTASY to be a beautiful and creative video game. I don't think I could have collaborated on any other video game soundtrack; it wouldn't have made sense. In a way I feel like the world of FINAL FANTASY and my own inner world seem to fit together quite well.; it is something that has a mythical, beautiful and epic sense. "
