The long-awaited return of The Shins

A video of The Shins has already been published, on the mysterious line that they always use. A short video clip shows us the new airs in the band's music. At the end of the short, we can see a credit screen with the title 'I Gleek On Your Grave ”.

Among the rumors and speculation is the fact that this could be the name of your new album.

Recall that The Shins did not release a new album since "Port of Morrow" was released.. But the band's leader, James Mercer, had already recently confirmed that they were putting the finishing touches on a new album.

Signs that new material is available were revealed earlier this year on the band's official Facebook page, where they shared a clip of what appeared to be a new song, titled 'The Fear'.

But this is not the first time that the group has diverted information about their new music. ANDn April we got to see a kind of preview of a new theme, only four seconds long, with a backdrop of clouds that accompany the short piece of music.

These four seconds constituted until now the only novelty of the band since 2014, when they contributed 'And now what' of the soundtrack to Zach Braff's movie, "Wish I Was Here."

The new work is scheduled to hit the market early next year 2017. The band's frontman and singer commented: “I'm excited about the recording. I think we have something that The Shins fans will really like. I think there are things that are different enough.

Additionally, Mercer has confirmed that the new album is more similar to the band's first three albums, instead of the more pop sound of 'Port of Morrow, which was co-produced with the producer of Adele, Greg Kurstin.
