Finally I know full the cast of the novel adaptation The Queen of the South, Arturo Perez Reverte: they will star in the film Eva Mendes, Josh Hartnett y Ben Kingsley.
The director will be the Venezuelan Jonathan Jakubowicz, who wrote the adaptation with Albert Torres. The novel, originally published in 2002, is about a Mexican, Teresa Mendoza placeholder image, who flees from Mexico to Spain.
There he becomes involved in smuggling and drug trafficking networks. The novel is narrated in the third person through a journalist who investigates the life of the protagonist. Filming will begin in September in Mexico and Spain.
