The drums have announced the release of their new studio album called Encyclopedia', which will be released in October. This is the third album by the New York band and the first in three years, after their debut 'The Drums' and the second 'Portamento'. They said that 'Encyclopedia' will be full of "magic and surprises."
"We have felt angry, confused and alone when we recorded the album, so we want to be honest now, we are looking for some hope"
For the moment, The Drums were reduced to a duo made up of Jonathan Pierce and Jacob Graham. We can already listen to the first single, called "Magic Mountain":

The Drums is an American indie-pop band born in 2008 in Brooklyn, New York. In NME's first issue of 2010 they were named # 1 in the magazine's recommendations for the year, as well as in The Clash Magazine's recommendations for 2010. They were also named a 2010 breakthrough group on Pitchfork by readers in 2009. His main influences are: The Beach Boys The Smiths, Joy Division, The Zombies, The Shangri-Las and Orange Juice.
