The most rumored, thought and debated film adaptation project in recent times on manga forums and film fans based on comics or animated series, may have come to an end.

The one chosen to direct this macro film adaptation has been James wong, who previously directed films such as "Final Destination" among others of the genre. The truth is that having in the history of cinema such a successful and award-winning precedent as is the Lord of the Rings (few adaptations were feared so expensive and so masterfully adapted) the Japanese animated manga series, created in 1984 by Akira Toriyama. It has countless comic versions, hundreds of chapters of the animated series, as well as numerous feature films, also animated.

There is no other news about the film's production, although it is estimated that filming could begin on next December or January 2008.
