DNCE: Joe Jonas's group releases debut album in November

DNCE Joe Jonas

The Joe Jonas (Jonas Brothers) group DNCE announced last Wednesday (14) the release of their debut album, which will bear the same title as the group and which will be released through the Republic Records label next November.

After the dissolution of the Jonas Brothers in 2013, Joe continued his professional career beginning last summer with his new project, DNCE., a funk-pop band that debuted exactly one year ago with their hit 'Cake by the Ocean'. In those weeks the quartet held a series of shows in New York City, where many fans were able to see this band live for the first time. This summer DNCE opened for Selena Gómez on her 'Revival world tour'.

DNCE features bassist Cole Whittle of Semi-Precious Weapons, oriental guitarist JinJoo who has collaborated on the tours of Demi Lovato and Charli XCX and drummer Jack Lawless, who had previously participated in the Jonas Brothers tour. In recent months DNCE has been promoted by participating in American TV programs such as The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and The Late Late Show with James Corden, and as a finishing touch a few weeks ago they won the award for 'Best New Artist' at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards.

According to Joe Jonas, the band had a plan to release the debut album last summer, but eventually the release date had to be pushed back. Exactly a year ago they presented their first single, 'Cake by the Ocean', which reached the Top Ten of the Billboard Hot and the Canadian Hot 100. The group released their first EP, 'Swaay', on October 23, 2015, which includes 'Cake by…' and also 'Toothbrush'; both singles achieved an interesting repercussion in North America.

DNCE worked at the studio of well-known Swedish producer Max Martin (Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez) in Los Angeles to complete the new album that will be available in physical and digital format from November 18.
