It is undeniable that in the last edition of the Oscars, with a great presence of Ibero-American talents among its nominees and winners, the international industry's gaze was positioned on the region's cinema. For this reason, The H&M High Line Festival, whose first edition will take place from May 11 to 17 in New York, responds to this growing interest with a series of ten films that cover the history of cinema in Latin America and Spain, which were selected by musician and actor David Bowie.

Bowie, co-founder of the festival, has personally selected the ten films that make up the cycle called 'David Bowie presents 10 Latin American and Spanish films from the last hundred years', which will be screened within the framework of the contest to be held at the Quad Cinema from New York (located at 34 West 13th Street).

The list of films selected for this cycle comes from several countries, including Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Cuba, Venezuela and Spain and includes some classics such as "Memories of Underdevelopment" by Tomás Gutiérrez Alea and "The Spirit of the Beehive" by Víctor Erice. «Is it very exciting to dive? in this world, of so much talent and constant innovation«Commented the White Duke.
