The ex-battery of Nirvana and current singer of the band foo Fighters has finally been recognized in his hometown: since yesterday, the original name of a street has been changed to Dave Grohl.
The singer was present at the ceremony, which by the way was part of a long weekend festival.
In this way, the avenue Market alley (located in the city of Warren, Ohio) stayed renamed in his honor.
It has been known that Grohl and his parents lived in the aforementioned city for the first years of his life, before moving to Alexandria (Virginia).
As part of the event, local artists painted some street murals with themes alluding to their music.
