Christine and The Queens, sounds of modern pop

Christine and The Queens

Many times musical success comes from a set of coincidences, from a series of unexpected surprises. Followers and fans are getting used to some rhythms, to music that stands out on the Internet, and word of mouth does the rest.

There are many examples of artists with a lot of personality and a defined style who have started on the Internet, and have later achieved success. Already happened with  Lykke Li (2008) Lana Del Rey (2010) or with Lorde (2013), now turned into world phenomena. In this year 2016 there is already a star that is consolidated little by little: Christine and The Queens.

The first work of this French artist, Chaleur Humaine, was published in mid-2014 in her native France and won every possible award, including Best Female Artist that same year at the French Grammys, the Music Victories.

With this spectacular start and some time after, the songs of the first album were translated into English for an Anglo-Saxon version of the album that during the first months of this summer it reached the top sales positions in the United Kingdom, Ireland or Scotland, and even appeared on the American charts.

Cristine's secret is the subtlety of her voice, the elegance and French modernism, but pop after all. His disk Chaleur Humaine conquers through the ear and also through the heart, transmitting all kinds of feelings and perceptions. A torrent of music, elaborated and interpreted in an exquisite way, that has elevated to the first positions of the music scene to Heloise Letisser, that is his name in real life.

But there is much more than music according to some experts. The Guardian newspaper says of this album that it is a "musical treatise on the homosexuality and diversity in sexual orientation ”, and the singer herself has been publicly recognized as pansexual.
