After comings and goings, The producers of the adaptation of the superhero Thor have decided on Chris Hemsworth to embody the god of thunder.
A few days before the announcement, the director of the film, Kenneth Branagh had already commented that they were near the final stage and that he himself he was reading some comics and getting to know the Norwegian sagas and legends that involve the character.
Now The Deadline Hollywood Daily site publishes that Australian actor Chris Hemsworth, recently appeared in the new star trek, will have the responsibility of playing the Norse hero of Marvel.
Apparently heMarvel Studios authorities were amazed during the Hemsworth casting test and upon returning to town, Kenneth Branagh gave the go-ahead for the australian to be Thor.
The idea of the production team is start filming the project in January next year, trying to reach the scheduled release date, set for June 17, 2011.
