Chasing Yesterday, new solo album by Noel Gallagher (Oasis)

Noel Gallagher Chasing Yesterday

Meanwhile the specialized press follows the perpetual soap opera between the Gallagher brothers providing news and covers of the weekly confrontations of the British, Noel, the eldest of the Gallaghers, released a new album this week, leading the group Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. Almost three and a half years have passed since the release of his first solo album (Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds) work where Noel Gallagher included new sounds and, incidentally, and moved away from the traditional Oasis sound of the nineties.

On the new album, which is named after chasing yesterday, the search for a new sound continues, and the range of styles he draws on widens even further. So far, two singles promoting this new work have been released, through two video clips of the songs: In the heat of the moment and Ballad of the Mighty I. Although the new album did not have his best musical compositions, it still contains several interesting topics worth highlighting.

Starting with the Riverman melody, a nod to his mother band, Wonderwall ?, which ends up becoming a rock piece with seventies developments, saxophone included. It is also worth listening to the hypnotic psychedelic sound of The Right Stuff, in an unusual register in his discography, with the melodic forcefulness of The Girl With X-Ray Eyes and The Dying Of The Light or the instant pulse of Lock All The Doors (written in 1992) and You Know We Can't Go Back; not forgetting the album's most prominent song, Ballad of the Mighty I, which features Johnny Marr.
