Censorship in Chinese cinema

lust caution

In China, measures against eroticism in cinema are tightened and national studios are threatened with renewing their licenses in case they produce films with sexual content. As if that were not enough, this regulation also prohibits erotic films from national film festivals and prohibits directors and actors from participating in those films. Penalties of up to no less than five years of disqualification for those who dare to skip this regulation in which not only sex scenes are censored, but also all kinds of "vulgar" conversations or "dirty songs and certain sound effects."

As we can see, censorship in China is still being exercised harshly ... The last film Ang Lee, lust, caution (I know, hee), was censored in Chinese cinemas and in the country, the sex scenes that exist between the protagonists will not be shown.
