The next September 10 the new album of Cat Power, entitled "Sun" and which is the continuation of his album of versions that saw the light in 2008 and "The Greatest" (2006) the most inspired album of his vintage and with which he obtained his best reviews (it was a of the 20 best albums of the 'dosmiles' for Rockdelux magazine).
The singer has been busy during these months immersed in the process of recording her new album, of which she already presented us at Christmas a single called "King Rides By". In addition to having enjoyed his voice in few collaborations, as artists like Eddie Vedder on his "Ukulele Songs".
In an interview with NME magazine, Power already hinted that the driving force behind "Sun" is the "fury that one feels when he wants to achieve his goals." And he adds that he felt "Somewhat frustrated with herself" with the fact that he only sang on the records and didn't play any instruments. Something that has wanted to change in "Sun". "I think I wanted to show that I could establish a relationship between the instruments and myself and feel closer to the album ...".
