Almost forty years after his first charity galas (Secret Policeman's Ball - 1976) and almost thirty years after his first massive concert (A Conspiracy of Hope - 1986), Amnesty International returns to promote its work in defense of human rights through music, with the presentation of a new concert called 'Bringing Human Rights Home', which will feature the participation of prominent figures of music who support this organization. The new concert will take place on February 5, in the district of Brooklyn, New York (USA).
'Bringing Human Rights Home' will be hosted by the well-known American actress Susan Sarandon and will feature the collaboration of Peter Gabriel and Sting, who will send pre-recorded video messages that will talk about human rights. Bob Geldof, Yoko Ono, Blondie, Lauryn Hill, Cake, Cold War Kids, The Fray, Tegan & Sara and Colbie Caillat are listed in the list of bands and soloists that will be part of this concert in which "Stories will be told, action will be taken and lives will be changed", according to their organizers.
Amnesty International confirmed a few days ago that among its invited artists Imagine Dragons, The Flaming Lips will also participate and will also have the special presence of the members of the Russian group Pussy Riot.
