This Friday (2) The Rolling Stones released their new album, 'Blue & Lonesome', an exceptional record production with which their Satanic Majesties have returned to their original roots: the blues.
'Blue & Lonesome' is their 2005th studio album and the legendary group's first album in over a decade, since the September XNUMX release of 'A Bigger Bang'. On this new album the Stones have covered classic blues masters such as Willie Dixon, Jimmy Reed, Little Walter, Howlin 'Wolf, and Eddie Taylor, productions that were originally recorded in the mid-1950s.
The classics included in this new album by The Rolling Stones are: 'Just Your Fool', 'Commit A Crime', 'Blue and Lonesome', 'All Of Your Love', 'I Gotta Go', 'Everybody Knows About My Good Thing ',' Ride 'Em On Down', 'Hate To See You Go', 'Hoo Doo Blues', 'Little Rain', 'Just Like I Treat You' and 'I Can't Quit You Baby'.
These songs accompany the members of the Stone since childhood and the new reinterpretation of them has served as a tribute to notable musicians that they have always admired. The British press described this new work as one of the best of the last two decades, and some media opined that the choice to cover classics should not be seen as a reflection of the search for lost youth, typical of the mid-life crisis, rather, it is a well-assembled work of outstanding artistic quality that captures the true essence of the Stones.
'Blue & Lonesome' is made up of twelve songs that have been recorded in just three days in December 2015, at the British Grove Studios in London. It has been produced by the group's classic collaborator Don Was and The Glimmer Twins (Jagger / Richards). It also has the participation of the mythical guitarist Eric Clapton in two songs, who was during the same days in this recording studio working on his own album.
The most legendary group in rock is formed by Mike Jagger (leader and soloist), Keith Richards (guitar), Charlie Watts (drums) and Ronnie Wood (guitar). They have collaborated on this last work Darryl Jones (on bass), Chuck Leavell (keyboards) and Matt Clifford (keyboards). Released by Polydor Records, 'Blue & Lonesome' is now available in various formats: CD, deluxe version with CD + 75-page book + photographic postcards, double vinyl, and digital download.
