"Björk: Digital", a celebration of the talent of the Icelandic artist

Bjork: Digital

During the next weeks an exhibition will be held in London (United Kingdom) under the name 'Björk: Digital', an event that aims to celebrate the vast audiovisual repertoire of the talented Irish singer.

This will be the first exhibition of 'Björk: Digital' in Europe, and it will take place in the exhibition halls of Somerset House, in central London, and will be open to the public from September 1 to October 23.

This exhibition showcases a collection of digital and video works from Björk's artistic career, and features the collaboration of some of the world's most prominent digital artists. The exhibition will coincide with upcoming special performances by Björk in London, at the Royal Albert Hall on September 21 and at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith on September 24.

The presentation of 'Björk: Digital' had the participation of the artist, who appeared at the press conference (from Iceland) as a holographic avatar that in real time replicated her movements thanks to a special suit that captured her movements live and it streamed them directly to London.

Among the avant-garde artists who have helped bring his vision to life is film director Andrew Thomas Huang. According to the Icelandic artist, she already has four videos in virtual reality ready and will be releasing them progressively in each city where the exhibition arrives in the coming months.

The holographic avatar he used at the press conference in London is also a preview of the virtual reality video for the song 'Family', belonging to his latest album 'Vulnicura', which will be released later this year under the direction of Andrew Thomas Huang and under the creative direction of Björk and James Merry.
