Billy Corgan and the future of the Smashing Pumpkins

Billy Corgan

Through an extensive post posted on the blog of the Smashing Pumpkins, Billy Corgan it explains why it has decided to go ahead with the name of the group when it is the only member that continues in activity ...

"When I decided to write and record again under the same name in 2005, I was XNUMX percent committed ... there is a marked difference in how I take on a job when it comes to the Pumpkins, so after I finish the same I decide if I edit it as a solo artist or under another name", wrote.

Also, talk about the exit of a large multimedia project which will be composed of nothing less than 44 songs:
"One song at a time, over a period of 2 or 3 years, all together in a 'box-set' or album that would also include a small trailer of the same".

He also mentions its imminent start in other two groups and his solo work:
"I would love to give you more details about those couple of projects, but first I would like to assure the names of them because I would not like to talk about something so basic that it has not yet materialized".
