Benn Affleck, actor and director of the upcoming Batman solo movie continues to give round and round the script, and he won't accept it until he is completely satisfied.
Apparently, actor will write, direct and star in the new solo Batman movie, the first in the series of the so-called DC Expanded Universe.
There is no release date for the film yet, and although DC Entertainment would have set a production schedule, Affleck is not willing to follow it if he considers that the rush is against the quality of the film. According to his statements: “I know they have a release date for the film, but I don't know if I can have it made by then because the script is not ready yet. I'm not going to make the movie until I think the script is really good., because I have been in the situation of making films when there was not yet a good script and the experience has not been successful.
The plot of the film is not being written by Ben Affleck alone, but with the help of unot from the executives responsible for creativity at Warner and DC, Geoff Johns, who has also ensured that he is not entirely satisfied to start shooting a new installment of Batman. The script, according to his words, must exceed the highest level.
However Affleck's schedule doesn't stop. He is in post-production on his number four film as a director, "Live By Night," which will be released early next year. But there are also in the portfolio some more films from the DC Universe in which Batman will appear, such as 'Suicide Squad', which opens in Spain on August 5, or the two installments of 'The Justice League'. The first of these two films based on the reunion of DC heroes is slated for a 2017 release.
