Although both are still shooting the new woody allen movie in Barcelona, Javier Bardem y Penelope Cruz they will share another realization: it is the musical "Nine", directed by Rob Marshall, made popular by Antonio Banderas on stage. The film is based on a musical that in turn is inspired by Federico Fellini's classic "8 1/2".
According to the specialized magazine VarietyThe cast could be joined by Catherine Zeta-Jones, Sophia Loren and Marion Cotillard, no less. "Nine" tells of director Guido Contini's problems and his personal and artistic crisis as he tries to balance his relationships with women. Javier Bardem will play the role of Contini, while Penelope will play Carla, his lover.
This would be the third time that Bardem and Cruz share a cast, since they worked together on «Ham Ham", by Bigas Luna and currently mentioned Woody Allen production.
