"Bad Fathers" will follow the success of "Bad Mothers"

"Bad Mothers" was one of the hits of the year thanks to raising almost 180 million dollars worldwide, a very effective film since its budget was only 20 million. Having seen the data, STX Entertainment has already announced that a spin-off is in the works of the comedy, which will be titled "Bad Parents" and will be released in theaters on July 14, 2017.

The study wants to make it clear that "Bad parents" it won't be the typical sequel, perhaps to get away from the data that says that the sequels collect 68% less than the originals. For this reason, STX emphasizes that it is a spin-off, which will also have a television series with other protagonists once it has been released in theaters.

"Bad parents"

At the moment we don't know who will be the protagonists of "Bad Fathers", but it does seem that the direction and script will have the same responsibilities as in the case of "Bad Mothers." With less than a year to go, all the most interesting names and details of this new comedy will soon begin to be announced, which will have the challenge of surpassing the data of its predecessor.

"Bad mothers"

Although it was not a great bombshell, there is no doubt that "Bad Mothers" is a comedy that had very good results, thanks in part to a cast with well-known actresses and experts in this style. Thus, the movie is starring Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Christina Applegate, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Kathryn Hahn.

Released last July, there it raised almost 24 million in its first weekend, although in Spain it was not as well, leaving just 300.000 collected in its first days. With the critics it went quite well, and the public who saw it were satisfied in terms of the expectations created and the final result.
