Andrew Garfield is delighted to no longer be Spiderman

Actor Andrew Garfield has commented in an interview that he is delighted and "more than satisfied" with the fact that "The Amazing Spiderman 3" never came true. Although the criticism of his performance was very good both from experts and the public, Garfield confesses that thanks to not continuing to be Spiderman, he has worked on projects that he would not have been able to do if he were Spider-Man.

"The Amazing Spiderman 2: The Power of Electro" was the second and last film in which Andrew Garfield donned the wall-climbing jumpsuit. Thank you to see that it did not come out ahead the one that would complete the trilogy He has been able to work on other projects with, for example, Martin Scorsese and Mel Gibson.

To be honest, I couldn't have worked with Mel Gibson and Martin Scorsese if I had made Spiderman 3. I feel very lucky to be able to go to the movies and see someone else play Spiderman, the fantastic Tom Holland.

Your new projects

Currently, Andrew Garfield is immersed in projects that make him very excited. On the one hand, "Hacksaw Ridge", which will mean the return of Mel Gibson to the big screen, while on the other he will be under the command of Martin Scorsese in "Silence", which seems to be one of the Oscar candidates. Next year it will also release "Breathe" and "Under the Silver Lake", the first still pending filming.

Spiderman with Andrew Garfield

The actor said goodbye to Spiderman after the second installment, released in 2014 and that raised 700 million dollars worldwide, 50 less than those collected in 2012 with the first part. The third installment was discarded because the second did not connect much with the public, and Marvel wanted to bet on a younger version and leave the superhero in the hands of Tom Holland.
