Viola Davis to star in Steve McQueen's "Widows"

Viola Davis is in fashion, and there is no doubt that she is an actress capable of making great interpretations in all kinds of roles, as she has shown in recent years both in film and on television. The actress will be one of the four protagonists of "Widows", a film that is an adaptation of a British miniseries of the same title that was released in 2002.

The project will be directed by Steve McQueen, which thus returns to get down to work after the great success achieved with its "12 years of slavery", a film with which it won 3 Oscars, including the best picture. In "Widows" he will also write the script, in this case with Gillian Flynn.

This is «Widows»

Viola Davis' next movie opens with a botched heist by four men, all of whom end up dead. With a large amount of money at stake, their widows decide to intervene to finish work that their husbands couldn't do. At the moment it is not known who the other 3 protagonists will be, but McQueen will also be the producer along with Iain Canninng and Emile Sherman.

Viola Davis sweeps

Whatever she does, Viola Davis succeeds. This year we have seen it in «Suicide Squad», and also in the series "How to defend a murderer", which will soon premiere its third season. With his role in the series he got the Emmy last year, and it was nominated but he did not take it. In addition, she has been specially awarded by the Screen Actors Guild, with four awards in the last four years thanks to her work in "Maids and Ladies" and "How to defend a murderer."

On Christmas Day she premieres "Fences" with Denzel Washington, whose play she already starred in with great success a few years ago, even receiving important awards for it.
